There are about 30+ items that will be added to the clearance area in the next week.  Also, there are approx. 20 new items, and I have lost my camera battery charger, so when I get my new one next week I will post the new pictures.  Until then, you can just imagine how beautiful the items are…   The tiny metallics are especially cute,  I have a soft spot in my heart for these little sweeties.   When they are mixed with other colors they can be so much fun, and we have so many little bottles of mixed colors around here!!  Some work, and some don’t…  I will be adding the autumn mix next week, it is so gorgeous, like the other mini metallic mix.  I love my job!!

Here are some pictures of coverage examples for coverage using one ounce of glitter on a 6×6″ flat area.

MINATURE GLASS SPHERES on anything gives a wonderful soft texture, and looks AMAZING on Christmas lights (perfectly safe, just don’t apply when plugged in!)

Coated Candles in beads or glitter – a quick unique gift- brush votives with ModPodge and roll in beads or glitter, or do the same with clear glass votive holders.  They will look like they came from a boutique~!

Picture Frames – Take a frame that is no longer a favorite, and doodle glues onto it after you take out the backing and glass.  put one type of glitter or bead on.  lett dry for about 30 minutes, then add more glue and add a contrasting color in either beads or glitter.

Picture Frame #2 – Trace the glass in the frame with a light marker.  Next take the glass out of the frame and use the glue to create your own work of artGlue the glass back into the frame- no backing put back back on.  While the glass is out you may want to paint the frame a contrasting or complimenting color to the glitter.  When you are done, add two small nails on either side of the frame and a cord, and hang in the window.  It is amazing during the day with the sunlight coming through the back, and looks entirely different at night with the sparkle effects from the room light!

*EASY TRICK* use a small tipped point bottle for the glue to add the ability to add precice placement of the glue, and you can get some real artwork out of the glitter placement!

The holiday items in the store have been highlighted and updated for spring.  Check them out!~

All of our glitters and beads are sold in 1 ounce extra thick zip locking baggies to give you the best bargain!

Multiple amounts of the same glitters or deco beads are bagged in larger bags unless otherwise requested.

Mica and Shells are bagged in the 1 ounce baggie, and may not weigh an ounce, but are a 1 ounce size.

The way the glitter is made is this: they take a large microthin sheet of glass and color it with whatever color is being made at the moment.  After the color is applied the glass is broken down and sifted through large screen shakers that capture the certain sizes of glass.  Then it is bulk packaged.  This is the REGULAR way it is made.

The PURE way it is done is a bit different, but makes a world of difference.  Plain sheets of glass are broken and sifted while still clear.  The color is applied AFTER the pieces are broken down.  This allows the color to be applied not only on both sides of the glass, but also on the microfine edges of the broken glass as well.

It doesn’t seem like it should be a big deal, but when you see the two side by side it’s an amazing difference.  See the picture below, which shows gold pure on the left and regular on the right.  This is FINE sized.

Recently we have had a run on several items and are low on some stock.  Instead of removing them from the inventory, I decided to leave them in the catalog so you could see what is there, and you can contact me if you are looking for something that is showing out of stock.  I’m able to get it fairly quickly, and may even have a stash of it under 4 oz. in my personal studio, so please ask.

We now carry a whiteglue/clear drying mixture and a clear gel quick drying glue in 2 and 4 oz bottles with pointed tips.  Perfect for outlines, and you can open the bottle and use a brush to fill in large areas; both items are water soluble!
